BSL, Business School Lausanne

Accreditation: ACBSP + ISO 9001 certification

BSL was founded in 1987 by John Hobbs, a university professor who felt business education was missing valuable practical learning. He built BSL as a small international business school in Lausanne, Switzerland certified by the ACBSP in 1996 and in 1997 it was integrated into the Lemania Group of Private Schools. Thanks to a partnership with ESM Ecole de Management et de Communication in Geneva, the Executive MBA program is also available in French.

The faculty consists of 35 members from 15 different nationalities. BSL selects experienced candidates for the MBA (average age of 32) and the EMBA (average age of 37). For all programs, BSL selects a broad international group of participants with over 40 nationalities represented.

Famous quotes containing the words business and/or school:

Half the business is done, when one has gained the heart and the affections of those with whom one is to transact it.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)

Although good early childhood programs can benefit all children, they are not a quick fix for all of society’s ills—from crime in the streets to adolescent pregnancy, from school failure to unemployment. We must emphasize that good quality early childhood programs can help change the social and educational outcomes for many children, but they are not a panacea; they cannot ameliorate the effects of all harmful social and psychological environments.
    Barbara Bowman (20th century)
