Broadneck High School - Athletics

Athletics

Broadneck High School's athletics teams are the Bruins and Lady Bruins and their colors are maroon and grey, as defined by the school's first athletic director, Mr. Timothy McMullen. The Broadneck Bruins are rivals with the Severna Park High School "Falcons" and the Annapolis Senior High School "Panthers". The school has won numerous state and local championships. The current athletic director is Mr. Ken Kazmarek.

Broadneck High School has multiple sport fields, including the main turf stadium adjacent to the Tim McMullen Field House, the lower Kelly Field, three baseball/softball fields, and two large tennis areas. Indoors, there is a gym with large folding bleachers, an auxiliary gym, dance room, weight room, and lockers. Off school grounds, its ice hockey team plays at an ice rink at Navy (see Ice Hockey).

"Bruin Pride" is supported by the school's bruin mascot, an honorary position that traditionally passed down by a senior in each graduating class.
