British Columbia Ambulance Service - Uniform Colour

Uniform Colour

As of Thursday, August 4, 2011 the BCAS has officially changed from the traditional white and blue uniform to an all blue uniform. The gold trim on the shoulder flash was also lost. Some paramedics are concerned about being mistaken as police or firefighters. The new uniforms are said to be more durable and stain resistant.

Famous quotes containing the words uniform and/or colour:

An accent mark, perhaps, instead of a whole western accent—a point of punctuation rather than a uniform twang. That is how it should be worn: as a quiet point of character reference, an apt phrase of sartorial allusion—macho, sotto voce.
    Phil Patton (b. 1953)

I allow a Beauty to be as much to be commended for the Elegance of her Dress, as a Wit for that of his Language; yet if she has stolen the Colour of her Ribbands from another, or had Advice about her Trimmings, I shall not allow her the Praise of Dress, any more than I would call a Plagiary an Author.
    Richard Steele (1672–1729)
