Brisbane Graduate School of Business - Master of Business Programs

Master of Business Programs

The Masters of Business program is delivered on a 13 week, semester basis and can be completed in 18 months. The Master of Business is for students that want to study a particular discipline, such as accountancy, advertising, or applied finance. From 2009, a more flexible approach to learning will take place by offering a combined offering of internal contact hours, online studies and internal intensive study for some units.

Students may articulate from the Graduate Certificate in Business, which takes one semester full-time to complete, to the Master of Business. Students may also articulate to the Master of Business (Advanced) program, which takes one semester full-time equivalent study to complete in addition to the Master of Business.

Famous quotes containing the words master of, master, business and/or programs:

Alcohol doesn’t console, it doesn’t fill up anyone’s psychological gaps, all it replaces is the lack of God. It doesn’t comfort man. On the contrary, it encourages him in his folly, it transports him to the supreme regions where he is master of his own destiny.
    Marguerite Duras (b. 1914)

A penniless man who has no ties to bind him is master of himself at any rate, but a luckless wretch who is in love no longer belongs to himself, and may not take his own life. Love makes us almost sacred in our own eyes; it is the life of another that we revere within us; then and so begins for us the cruelest trouble of all.
    HonorĂ© De Balzac (1799–1850)

... a business career for a woman and her need for a woman’s life as wife and mother, are not enemies at all, unless we make them so, but may be the closest and most co-operative friends and supporter of each other.
    Hortense Odlum (1892–?)

Although good early childhood programs can benefit all children, they are not a quick fix for all of society’s ills—from crime in the streets to adolescent pregnancy, from school failure to unemployment. We must emphasize that good quality early childhood programs can help change the social and educational outcomes for many children, but they are not a panacea; they cannot ameliorate the effects of all harmful social and psychological environments.
    Barbara Bowman (20th century)
