It is rumoured that Eric Bristow has used a former snooker centre in Brighton Hill to practise his darts skills. Not so much his darts, he was keen on snooker too and stayed with one of the members of the Davies Snooker Centre when he was playing at the Lakeside in Frimley. Allison Fisher, former world ladies snooker champion also played there in the 80's pre her crossover to Pool.

In 2005 Sharon Osbourne starred in an Asda TV advert, filmed at night at the Brighton Hill store.
