Brian Dawkins

Brian Patrick Dawkins (born October 13, 1973) is a retired American football safety. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft out of Clemson and played for Philadelphia until his release in 2009. Dawkins then signed with the Denver Broncos, where he played until his contract expired at the end of the 2011 season. On April 23, 2012, Dawkins announced his retirement after 16 NFL seasons.

A nine-time Pro Bowl selection, Dawkins is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles 75th Anniversary Team, the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and the 20/20 Club (20 sacks, 20 interceptions). Dawkins will be eligible for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
