Brian Bender

Sir Brian Geoffrey Bender, KCB (born 1949) is a retired British civil servant, who served as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (later the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the Department of Trade and Industry. (later the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform). He is now Chairman of the London Metal Exchange, and a Governor of Dulwich College.

Bender was appointed twice to the Order of the Bath; originally, a Companion or CB, and later the Knight Commander or KCB in the 2003 Birthday Honours
