Town of Don Camillo

Brescello is also the town where the films of the "Don Camillo" series were filmed, and besides the museum dedicated to this film series, visitors can also admire the various places and props used in the films; for example the church or the nearby square, as well as the two bronze statues one of Don Camillo and one of Giuseppe Bottazzi.

Famous quotes containing the words town and/or don:

Such a set of tittle tattle, prittle prattle visitants! Oh Dear! I am so sick of the ceremony and fuss of these fall lall people! So much dressing—chitchat—complimentary nonsense—In short, a country town is my detestation. All the conversation is scandal, all the attention, dress, and almost all the heart, folly, envy, and censoriousness.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)

Rather would I have the love songs of romantic ages, rather Don Juan and Madame Venus, rather an elopement by ladder and rope on a moonlight night, followed by the father’s curse, mother’s moans, and the moral comments of neighbors, than correctness and propriety measured by yardsticks.
    Emma Goldman (1869–1940)
