Brent Goulet - Move To Germany

Move To Germany

Rather than trying England again, Goulet elected to move to Germany. He began with Bonner SC, an Oberliga club, playing two seasons, with 31 goals in 1991–92. His prolific scoring led to a move to Tennis Borussia Berlin. In his first season with the team, he scored 21 goals, helping the club win promotion; however, in his second season, he failed to find the net and was sent back to Bonner SC with whom he played through 1994–95.

His itinerant existence continued the next few years as he left Bonner SC to play with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen during the 1995–1996 season, then Wuppertaler SV for two seasons.

Famous quotes containing the words move and/or germany:

A mother wants all of life to be painless for her child. This is not a realistic goal, however. Deprivation and frustration are as much a part of life as gratification. It is some balance between these that a mother is looking for. To take the next step is always painful in part. It means relinquishing gratification on some level. If one is totally gratified where one is, why move ahead? If one is totally frustrated, why bother?
    Elaine Heffner (20th century)

How does Nature deify us with a few and cheap elements! Give me health and a day, and I will make the pomp of emperors ridiculous. The dawn is my Assyria; the sun-set and moon-rise my Paphos, and unimaginable realms of faerie; broad noon shall be my England of the senses and the understanding; the night shall be my Germany of mystic philosophy and dreams.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
