Brazil at The 2006 FIFA World Cup - Draw

Draw

Traditionally, the host nation (in this case, Germany) is the first seed, being placed in Group A. The opponents of the Brazilian team in the first stage were, respectively, Croatia, Australia and Japan.

Famous quotes containing the word draw:

Ultimately, it is the receiving of the child and hearing what he or she has to say that develops the child’s mind and personhood.... Parents who enter into a dialogue with their children, who draw out and respect their opinions, are more likely to have children whose intellectual and ethical development proceeds rapidly and surely.
    Mary Field Belenky (20th century)

The moments of the past do not remain still; they retain in our memory the motion which drew them towards the future, towards a future which has itself become the past, and draw us on in their train.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)

What if it tempt you toward the flood, my lord,
Or to the dreadful summit of the cliff
That beetles o’er his base into the sea,
And there assume some other horrible form
Which might deprive your sovereignty of reason,
    And draw you into madness?
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
