Modern Equipment
The equipment needed to play the game is as follows:
- Box. Approximately 8 feet long × 3 feet wide × 1 foot high constructed with a plywood bottom and three plywood dividers (to create four sections in the box). Each divider has one or more "mouse holes" that are slightly wider than the puck.
- Two hockey sticks, shortened. Each player uses one floor hockey stick (plastic) whose shaft has been shortened to 12 to 18 inches.
- One hockey puck. A floor hockey puck (plastic, hollow) is the best type of puck to be used in box hockey.

Famous quotes containing the words modern and/or equipment:
“In most other modern societies working mothers are not put under these special and exaggerated pressures. For example, French and English mothers often prefer to breast-feed their babies, but they do not feel that their womanhood is at stake if they fail to do so. Nor does anyone else.”
—Sylvia Ann Hewitt (20th century)
“Why not draft executive and management brains to prepare and produce the equipment the $21-a-month draftee must use and forget this dollar-a-year tommyrot? Would we send an army into the field under a dollar-a-year General who had to be home Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (19081973)
