Boston Mayoral Election, 2009
The Boston mayoral election of 2009 occurred on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between current mayor, Thomas Menino, and Michael Flaherty, current City Councilor and former City Council President. Menino was re-elected and will serve a fifth term, the first mayor to do so in Boston's history.
The nonpartisan municipal preliminary election was held on September 22, 2009.
