Famous quotes containing the words born to, born and/or quit:
“I have never worked for fame or praise, and shall not feel their loss as I otherwise would. I have never for a moment lost sight of the humble life I was born to, its small environments, and the consequently little right I had to expect much of myself, and shall have the less to censure, or upbraid myself with for the failures I must see myself make.”
—Clara Barton (18211912)
“Joyce for all his devotion to his art, terrible in its austerity, was a lad born with a song on one side of him, a dance on the othertwo gay guardian angels every human ought to have.”
—Sean OCasey (18841964)
“One fellow I was dating in medical school ... was a veterinarian and he wanted to get married. I said, but youre going to be moving to Minneapolis, and he said, oh, you can quit and Ill take care of you. I said, Go.”
—Sylvia Beckman (b. c. 1931)
