- This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.
There are currently over 24 different versions in print, each by a different yearly meeting, some also available to be viewed on-line. The names of the publications vary. Most Yearly Meetings either have:
- One volume called the Book of Discipline
- Two volumes, which together make up the Book of Discipline:
- One called either Church Government or Handbook of Practice and Procedure - which deals with how the Yearly Meeting is organised and governed;
- The other book called either Faith and Practice or Faith, Life and Thought or similar title - which deals with the main beliefs, doctrines and testimonies of the Quakers in that Yearly Meeting.

Famous quotes containing the words current, books and/or discipline:
“For me, Romanticism is the most recent and the most current expression of beauty.”
—Charles Baudelaire (18211867)
“PLAYING SHOULD BE FUN! In our great eagerness to teach our children we studiously look for educational toys, games with built-in lessons, books with a message. Often these tools are less interesting and stimulating than the childs natural curiosity and playfulness. Play is by its very nature educational. And it should be pleasurable. When the fun goes out of play, most often so does the learning.”
—Joanne E. Oppenheim (20th century)
“The cycle of the machine is now coming to an end. Man has learned much in the hard discipline and the shrewd, unflinching grasp of practical possibilities that the machine has provided in the last three centuries: but we can no more continue to live in the world of the machine than we could live successfully on the barren surface of the moon.”
—Lewis Mumford (18951990)
