Bombay Vikings

Bombay Vikings is a pop and rock group that combines Indian and classical music. It was formed in 1994 in Stockholm, Sweden. The band was originally started by Neeraj Shridhar, Oscar Söderberg and Mats Nordenborg, and became popular with remix hits, such as Kya Soorat Hai, Woh Chali and Chod Do Anchal

The group was popular both in India and Pakistan, as well as overseas among the Indian music community, due to its unusual combination of classical Bollywood style and European experimentation. It is the first group to produce songs in "Hinglish" (a mix of Hindi and English). This idea of combining the two languages to produce a song was introduced by Bombay Viking front-man, Neeraj Shridhar. Neeraj also sings as a playback singer for many Bollywood films.
