Bob Tata - Coaching Career

Coaching Career

Tata spent about 30 years as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Hampton Roads area; he spent a number of those years serving as a football coach at the schools where he worked. At his first stop, Norfolk Catholic High School, his teams were 8-8-1 in the 1956–57 seasons. In 1965, his only year as head coach at Granby High School, the team went 10-1, losing only the state championship game.

He then coached at Norview High School 1967–79, winning six district championships with an overall record of 101-32-2.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

Each of the professions means a prejudice. The necessity for a career forces every one to take sides. We live in the age of the overworked, and the under-educated; the age in which people are so industrious that they become absolutely stupid.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
