Stage Name
The name Carolgees comes from friends Carole and George Dunmore who owned a record shop called Carolgees Records & Cassettes. Carole and George also operated a mobile disco called Carolgees Cabaret Disco which became extremely popular around Merseyside and was where Bob developed his act. Alternatively it was the name of his secretary when he was warden (warder) at the Cannon Hill MAC in Brum. These may be the same person.

Famous quotes containing the word stage:
“Boredom is not an end-product, is comparatively rather an early stage in life and art. Youve got to go by or past or through boredom, as through a filter, before the clear product emerges.”
—F. Scott Fitzgerald (18961940)
“Old age is far more than white hair, wrinkles, the feeling that it is too late and the game finished, that the stage belongs to the rising generations. The true evil is not the weakening of the body, but the indifference of the soul.”
—André Maurois (18851967)
