Film
With Valiant Comics returning to prominence this year--their new "X-O Manowar" series premieres in May and "Harbinger" premieres in June--it was only a matter of time before the popular characters from the comics line created by publisher Jim Shooter in 1992 would start seeing some possible movement on the movie front.
Sony Pictures and Neal Moritz's Original Film (Fast and the Furious franchise) have teamed to acquire the rights to make a movie based on the Valiant Comics series, Bloodshot, a deal that came out of the purchase of a spec script by Jeff Wadlow (writer/director of Cry_Wolf). Dinesh Shamdasani and Jason Kothari will produce on behalf of Valiant. Matthew Vaughn was previously linked as director.

Famous quotes containing the word film:
“If you want to tell the untold stories, if you want to give voice to the voiceless, youve got to find a language. Which goes for film as well as prose, for documentary as well as autobiography. Use the wrong language, and youre dumb and blind.”
—Salman Rushdie (b. 1948)
“[Film noir] experiences periodic rebirth and rediscovery. Whenever we have any moment of deep societal rift or disruption in America, one of the ways we can express it is through the ideas and behavior in film noir.”
—John Briley (b. 1925)
“This film is apparently meaningless, but if it has any meaning it is doubtless objectionable.”
—British Board Of Film Censors. Quoted in Halliwells Filmgoers Companion (1984)
