Behavior
Although fairly large for a warbler, Blackpoll Warblers are fairly easy to miss because of their relatively inactive foraging style and tendency to perch in dense foliage near the canopy of the trees. They are more often heard than seen, though there song is one of the highest pitched ones known. Their songs are simple repetition of high tsi notes. Their calls are thin sits.

Famous quotes containing the word behavior:
“One never gets to know a persons character better than by watching his behavior during decisive moments.... It is always only danger which forces the most deeply hidden strengths and abilities of a human being to come forth.”
—Stefan Zweig (18811942)
“The confusion of emotions with behavior causes no end of unnecessary trouble to both adults and children. Behavior can be commanded; emotions cant. An adult can put controls on a childs behaviorat least part of the timebut how do you put controls on what a child feels? An adult can impose controls on his own behaviorif hes grown upbut how does he order what he feels?”
—Leontine Young (20th century)
“Growing up human is uniquely a matter of social relations rather than biology. What we learn from connections within the family takes the place of instincts that program the behavior of animals; which raises the question, how good are these connections?”
—Elizabeth Janeway (b. 1913)
