Black Coffee (All Saints Song) - Music Video

Music Video

The music video is set in a luxury apartment and on the rooftop of the apartment during the night. A young couple argue with each other in their apartment with each Saint appearing beside them at various points throughout - completely invisible to the couple. The video cuts between the couple arguing and the girls singing on the rooftop of the apartment, with the city skyline visible in the background. The video uses a special effect very similar to the Bullet Time effect used in The Matrix . The overally mood of the video created by the setting, lighting and colour reflect the mood and lyrics of the song itself to a very high degree. Unlike previous videos from All Saints, none of the girls appear together during this video because they weren't speaking to each other at the time. It was directed by Johan Renck.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

His style is eminently colloquial, and no wonder it is strange to meet with in a book. It is not literary or classical; it has not the music of poetry, nor the pomp of philosophy, but the rhythms and cadences of conversation endlessly repeated.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

These people figured video was the Lord’s preferred means of communicating, the screen itself a kind of perpetually burning bush. “He’s in the de-tails,” Sublett had said once. “You gotta watch for Him close.”
    William Gibson (b. 1948)
