Bishop Moore Vidyapith - Buildings

Buildings

The school has a chapel, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, the Sunil Gavasker Stadium, computer lab and three science labs.

The Vidyapith consists of 4 blocks - Pre-Primary, the Primary, the main ICSE block and the SSLC block. The primary and the pre-primary follow the ICSE curriculum

The pre-primary block was inaugurated on 29 February 2009, completed while Mr. A. C. George was the Principal of the school. The section is seen to the right of the main entrance gate, consisting the lower kindergarten and the upper kindergarten. The students were transferred from the primary block to the pre-primary block in 2008.

The primary block can be seen on the right of the main entrance, consisting of classes from the 1st grade to the fourth grade. The headmistress of the section is Mrs. Mohanna Ravi.

The main ICSE block is located south to the main entrance. It consists of the classes from the 5th grade to ISC 12th grade. All the laboratories of the school (except the computer lab at the primary section) are located here.

Although the school is primarily considered as an ICSE school, the SSLC and HSC blocks are also within the school limits. The block is located downhill from the main ICSE block. The SSLC and HSC blocks consist of students from the 8th to the 12th grade. The "puncha" (ground) is found near to the block. The section is also used as the boys hostel.

Famous quotes containing the word buildings:

Now, since our condition accommodates things to itself, and transforms them according to itself, we no longer know things in their reality; for nothing comes to us that is not altered and falsified by our Senses. When the compass, the square, and the rule are untrue, all the calculations drawn from them, all the buildings erected by their measure, are of necessity also defective and out of plumb. The uncertainty of our senses renders uncertain everything that they produce.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
