Early Life
Born in Tauthali in Sindhupalchok District, Shrestha had football as his friend from small age of 7 and was spotted by scouts of ANFA, All Nepal Football Association's Academy Scout. Shrestha joined ANFA and started from the U-10s and now has gone through every youth level for the Nepali national team. Shrestha though was very talented but mostly a 2nd choice at the goal but his will and hard work has taken him to become one of the best goalkeepers in Nepal.
