Billy Mc Ginty (rugby League)

Billy McGinty (born in Glasgow) is a Scottish former rugby league footballer of the 1990s and first decade of the 21st century. He played in the forwards for Wigan during the period in the 1990s when they dominated the sport, and later for Workington Town.

During the 1991–92 Rugby Football League season, McGinty played for defending champions Wigan at second-row forward in their 1991 World Club Challenge victory against the visiting Penrith Panthers. He was selected to go on the 1992 Great Britain Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand. He played at second-row forward in Great Britain's win over Australia in Melbourne.

During the 1992–93 Rugby Football League season McGinty played at second-row forward for defending RFL champions Wigan in the 1992 World Club Challenge against the visiting Brisbane Broncos.

After the 1993–94 Rugby Football League season McGinty travelled with defending champions Wigan to Brisbane, playing at prop forward in their 1994 World Club Challenge victory over Australian premiers, the Brisbane Broncos.

McGiny also represented Scotland internationally.
