On May 17, 2008, in his fifth race, the 2008 Preakness Stakes, Big Brown came from the seven post and won the second leg of the Triple Crown by 5βΒΌ lengths over Macho Again, becoming the fourth horse to win both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness while remaining undefeated. Big Brown was the 1β5 favorite. The final time of the 13β16 mile race was 1:54.80.
