The eighth season of Big Brother Africa will air in 2013 with a new theme and tagline. M-net and producers Endemol South Africa have already started preparations for the 2013 series. M-net's AfricaMagic confirmed the return of the series on 18th December 2012. It has been announced that the eighth season will officially commence on Sunday 26 May 2013 Mnet has announced the return of Ethiopia as the fourteenth participating country in the show, replacing Liberia.
