HouseGuests
CBS advertisements revealed that 13 HouseGuests would be entering the House, the same number as Big Brother 4, the first time the number of HouseGuests has decreased.
Also, for the first time since Big Brother 3, all the HouseGuests are complete strangers. CBS touted the diversity of the Big Brother 10 HouseGuests in both age and background. CBS released the names of the HouseGuests beginning with a series of advertisements that revealed seven HouseGuests; the remaining six were revealed when the official website launched on July 8, 2008. Host Julie Chen formally announced the HouseGuests that day on The Early Show.
