Bexleyheath has a theatre (the Edward Alderton), Cineworld cinema, hotel, reference library, five-a-side football centre, bingo hall and ten-pin bowling alley (Ten Pin).
Cultural events include concerts given by the Sidcup Symphony Orchestra regularly in the hall of Townley Grammar School for Girls, while the Edward Alderton Theatre produces a number of non-professional productions each year. The theatre, which was founded in 1976, has a raked auditorium seating 74, a proscenium stage, a fully licensed bar, a deaf loop and free on-site parking.
