Season Five
Bessie makes few appearances during season five, as most of the main characters are now living in Boston and the show focuses on this. When Dawson's father dies in a car accident towards the beginning of the season, Bessie attends the funeral. She also features during the university break times, when Joey briefly returns to Capeside and during Lily Leery's first birthday party.

Famous quotes containing the word season:
“The theater is a baffling business, and a shockingly wasteful one when you consider that people who have proven their worth, who have appeared in or been responsible for successful plays, who have given outstanding performances, can still, in the full tide of their energy, be forced, through lack of opportunity, to sit idle season after season, their enthusiasm, their morale, their very talent dwindling to slow gray death. Of finances we will not even speak; it is too sad a tale.”
—Ilka Chase (1905–1978)
“Methoughts a legion of foul fiends
Environed me, and howled in mine ears
Such hideous cries that with the very noise
I trembling waked, and for a season after
Could not believe but that I was in hell,
Such terrible impression made my dream.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
