Famous quotes containing the word work:

... my last work is no sooner on the stands than letters come, suggesting a subject. The grandmothers of strangers are crying from the grave, it seems, for literary recognition; it is bewildering, the number of salty grandfathers, aunts and uncles that languish unappreciated.
    Catherine Drinker Bowen (1897–1973)

There is absolutely no evidence—developmental or otherwise—to support separating twins in school as a general policy. . . . The best policy seems to be no policy at all, which means that each year, you and your children need to decide what will work best for you.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)

My life’s work has been accomplished. I did all that I could.
    Mikhail Gorbachev (b. 1931)
