Bernard Prior

Bernard Prior (born 12 May 1934 in Leeds North district — died 17 June 2012 (aged 78) in Oulton, West Yorkshire) was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s playing at representative level for Great Britain, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Leeds, Hunslet, and Wakefield Trinity, as a Hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums. As a child he attended Hunslet St Joseph's, and was selected for Hunslet Schools' R.L. and Yorkshire County.
