Bernard Mariette

Bernard Mariette was the former President of Quiksilver, a large manufacturer of boardsport-related equipment. He ascended to the post of President in 2001, and would resign from this position in 2008. Prior to this, he had served as Vice and later President of Quiksilver Europe since 1994. Bernard Mariette previously worked with major British retailer Marks & Spencer, L'Oreal, as well as Timberland. Educated at Montpellier University in France, he also holds an MBA from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. In 2007, Christine Lagarde presented him with the Medal of Merit. He has three children, his youngest son was born in 2004.
