Ben Lomond High School - Renovations

Renovations

In June 2006, residents of Ogden passed a bond to obtain money to reconstruct and renovate Ben Lomond High and other Ogden City schools. A partial demolition commenced in June 2007 on Ben Lomond's library media center, English/Freshmen building, ceramics room, courtyard, boiler/furnace room, the ROTC drill field and two JROTC classrooms, and was completed in September 2007. Construction of a new building, which will feature 25 new classrooms and more administrative offices is nearly complete.

Most of the remaining wings and buildings will be demolished to make way for a new main entrance, administrative offices and library media center. The Scots Hall cafeteria will be closed and relocated when the new building is complete. The auditorium, band room, and the gymnasium areas will be retained and integrated as part of the new school.
