The Belmont Railway Line is now being used as a cycle track that follows the line. This track was decided by NCC (Newcastle City Council) And LMCC (Lake Maquarie City Council) in 2001. Then started work in late 2002. Although this track was built in sections and competed in June 2011. People in the local area can use this cycleway. If you walk along the track you see remains of the redhead tunnel which now has lighting and paved footpath inside. You can see remains of stations and rail sections when you walk along the track.

Famous quotes containing the word current:

Natural Man, in our current version, is a disgruntled adolescent.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

We set up a certain aim, and put ourselves of our own will into the power of a certain current. Once having done that, we find ourselves committed to usages and customs which we had not before fully known, but from which we cannot depart without giving up the end which we have chosen. But we have no right, therefore, to claim that we are under the yoke of necessity. We might as well say that the man whom we see struggling vainly in the current of Niagara could not have helped jumping in.
    Anna C. Brackett (1836–1911)
