Student Life
The Associated Student Government (ASG) holds elections for all students once a year to elect their representatives. The ASG allocates funding from their S&A budget, a fee collected per the vote from the student body meant to enrich the lives of students on campus. Some examples of programs supported by the ASG are, the math and reading labs, Black Student Union, and LGBTQ. The Jibsheet is the weekly English-language student-run newspaper.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or life:
“The student may read Homer or Æschylus in the Greek without danger of dissipation or luxuriousness, for it implies that he in some measure emulate their heroes, and consecrate morning hours to their pages.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The East is the hearthside of America. Like any home, therefore, it has the defects of its virtues. Because it is a long-lived-in house, it bursts its seams, is inconvenient, needs constant refurbishing. And some of the family resources have been spent. To attain the privacy that grown-up people find so desirable, Easterners live a harder life than people elsewhere. Today it is we and not the frontiersman who must be rugged to survive.”
—Phyllis McGinley (19051978)
