Bellbrook High School is not known for having very good sports teams throughout the years; however one team has been doing very well for more than 20 years. The men’s soccer program at Bellbrook has won 21 straight South Western Buckeye League (SWBL) titles over the past 21 seasons. Also for the first time in school history an athlete has been given All American honors for soccer. Junior Eric Lynch was selected by a national committee and received All American honors for his role, on and off the field, as well as goal scoring prowess as a forward for the men’s soccer team this past season. Some notable alumni of the Bellbrook men’s soccer program have also been performing very well on the next stage in college. Matt Bly and Chris Lynch helped secure Walsh University’s first division title since 1994. Women’s basketball has also been doing very well of late winning 11 out of the past 12 South Western Buckeye League titles. This year the women’s basketball team also made it to the state semi-final game in Columbus, Ohio. In the state semi-final game they would lose to eventual state champion Hathaway Brown from Cleveland, Ohio. The women’s basketball team was the first team that had been to state for Bellbrook since 1976 when the women's basketball team made it to the Final Four in Columbus for the first OHSAA women's basketball state tournament. Cameron Kelly became Bellbrooks first wrestling state champ in 2012. Kelly won the Division II Championship at the 106 pound weight class. Eric and Chris Dearth were great football players who went on to play at the University of Dayton.
