History

Land gifted by Humda Begum ( the wife of Nizam Ali Khan Nizamul Mulk) to the merchants of Hyderabad for trade and commerce, finally developed as Begum Bazar. Now its whole sale market for kirana ang general products as well as tobacco, cloths, chinese products, plastic house holds, paper,stationery, plastic bags, dry fruits, holi-colours, crockery,ayurvedic-unani products, kumkum, kites, ganesh idols and puja materials. which is in the hands of marwadi people. They came to Begum Bazar about 150 years back from Rajastan, invited by Nizam of that time. Interestingly, Begum Bazar is the place where the first Ganesh Mandap was establish in Hyderabad and now it spread all over A.P.
