Basic Law of Saudi Arabia

The Basic Law of Saudi Arabia (Arabic: النظام الأساسي للحكم بالمملكة العربية السعودية‎, an-Naẓāmu l-ʾAsāsiyyu li-l-Ḥakami bi-l-Mamlakati l-ʿArabiyyati s-Saʿūdīyyah) (Alternative name: Basic System of Governance) is a constitution-like charter divided into nine chapters, consisting of 83 articles. It is in accordance with the Salafi understanding of Sharia and does not override Islamic laws.
