Barneys New York Flagship and Regional Stores

Barneys started opening locations outside of Manhattan around 1988. The first store outside the U.S. opened in Tokyo in late 1990.

Arizona

• Scottsdale - Scottsdale Fashion Square (65,000 square feet (6,000 m2), opened October 2009, includes Fred's restaurant)

California

• Beverly Hills - Wilshire Boulevard (West Coast large store, 120,000 square feet (11,000 m2), opened 1994)
• San Francisco - Union Square, San Francisco (65,000 square feet (6,000 m2), opened 2007)

Illinois

• Chicago - Oak Street (25,000 square feet (2,300 m2), opened 1992)
• Chicago - Oak Street (Chicago) (100,000 square feet (9,300 m2)) opened April 2009 with restaurant "Freds"

Massachusetts

• Boston - Copley Place (46,000 square feet (4,300 m2), opened 2004)/ New Restaurant 2009 (70,000 square feet (6,500 m2))

Nevada

• Las Vegas - The Palazzo (85,000 square feet (7,900 m2), opened 2008)

New York

• New York City - Madison Avenue (Flagship, 240,000 square feet (22,000 m2))
• Manhasset - Americana Manhasset (former store, closed early 2007)

Texas

• Dallas - NorthPark Center 88,000 square feet (8,200 m2), (Closing April, 2013)

Washington

• Seattle - Pacific Place (16,448 square feet (1,530 m2), Regional Store opened 1990)

Barneys also has four department stores in Japan: two in Tokyo (located in Ginza and Shinjuku), one in Yokohama and one in Kobe, as well as a number of outlet stores throughout other cities in Japan. These stores are operated under license by the Sumitomo Corporation. Michael Celestino (BNY Sr VP) had denied rumors of upcoming stores in Europe, however on September 2, 2006, The Financial Times reported that Barneys New York will open its first company-operated European location in west London. The store was to be an anchor in Westfield London, which was developed by Australian company, Westfield Group. However, this news came to nothing and Barney's never opened in London.

Barneys is set to open a fifth Japanese store in the city of Fukuoka in autumn 2011.
