Traffic Circle
The actual traffic circle is not much of a traffic circle at all. Pennsylvania Avenue crosses over the circle, and includes ramps to the Southeast Freeway (I-695. A service-like road traverses the northern half of the circle, intersecting 17th Street SE, Kentucky Avenue SE, Pennsylvania Avenue SE, K Street SE, and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail.

Famous quotes containing the words traffic and/or circle:
“Poems stirred
into paper coffee-cups, eaten
with petals on rye in the
sunthe cold shadows in back,
and the traffic grinding the
borders of spring ...”
—Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
“... [a] girl one day flared out and told the principal the only mission opening before a girl in his school was to marry one of those candidates [for the ministry]. He said he didnt know but it was. And when at last that same girl announced her desire and intention to go to college it was received with about the same incredulity and dismay as if a brass button on one of those candidates coats had propounded a new method for squaring the circle or trisecting the arc.”
—Anna Julia Cooper (18591964)
