Quezon City, the most populous city in the Philippines, is politically subdivided into 142 barangays. These barangays are grouped into four congressional districts, with each district represented by a congressman in the House of Representatives. As of July 2, 2012, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed into law Republic Act No. 10170, dividing and reapportioning the Second District into three (3) more legislative districts.
Famous quotes containing the word city:
““Do not be afraid; for see -I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.””
