Bypass US 60 serves as the bypass around Lexington (there is no non-bannered US 60). At Leestown Pike is an intersection with U.S. Route 421 and at Georgetown Road is an intersection with U.S. Route 25. The road is a freeway to this point, where it becomes a divided highway. At Paris Pike is an intersection with U.S. Route 27 and U.S. Route 68. At Winchester Road, the bypass rejoins the business route to become nonbannered US 60.

Famous quotes containing the word route:
“By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an eidolon, named Night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of spaceout of time.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091849)
