Business US 60 begins on the west side of the city on Versailles Road (there is no nonbannered US 60 in the Lexington area) at New Circle Road (which carries Bypass US 60). Versailles Road heads downtown becoming High Street. High Street curves south through the downtown area. It leaves downtown on Midland Avenue, then Winchester Road. It rejoins the bypass route on the east side of Lexington at New Circle Road.
