Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute has consistently been ranked in the top 10 medical colleges of India and as the best medical college of Karnataka. It was ranked 3rd in the country in 2006 by Outlook. In 2012 BMC was ranked as the 8th best medical college by Outlook and 9th best by The Week.
