Expansion
There are plans to add two more platforms to the station. There are currently vast extents of land between Platforms 4 and 6 that is being used for maintenance and cleaning of trains. The maintenance facility will be shifted to another location, such as Byappanahalli or Hejjala on the Mysore line.
A new building that will house a passenger concourse, ticket counters, basement parking and a restaurant will open at the Okalipuram entry. The building will cost 2 crore (US$370,000). Dormitories, lounge and basement parking facilities will be added later.
