Venues
Within this area there are only two indoor arenas in Newcastle and Sheffield. One in Leeds has been debated for many years and construction on the Leeds Arena is to start in 2009, once built it will be larger than the Sheffield and Newcastle arenas. The KC Stadium in Hull is used as a concert venue having hosted REM and The Who in the past. Elland Road in Leeds is also used as one having hosted U2, Queen, Happy Mondays and the Kaiser Chiefs.
