Current Services
Ballymena railway station consists of two platforms, and serves as a passing point on the mainly single-track Belfast-Derry line.
There is a two hourly service on Mondays to Saturdays north towards Coleraine and Londonderry Waterside, or south to Belfast Central and Great Victoria Street. Extra services operate from Belfast to and from this station at peak times. On Sundays there are five trains in each direction.
Future plans involve the reinstatement of the original double-track between Antrim and Ballymena.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or services:
“What in fact have I achieved, however much it may seem? Bits and pieces ... trivialities. But here they wont tolerate anything else, or anything more. If I wanted to take one step in advance of the current views and opinions of the day, that would put paid to any power I have. Do you know what we are ... those of us who count as pillars of society? We are societys tools, neither more nor less.”
—Henrik Ibsen (18281906)
“O, the difference of man and man!
To thee a womans services are due.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
