Ball Possession

Ball possession is the amount of time a team in football possesses the ball during a game. Possession is usually expressed in a percentage (60% for team A, 40% for team B). Historically, Germany has had a dominating ball possession. Since 2006, Spain and FC Barcelona of the Liga BBVA are the best in keeping possession; Germany come in 2nd place with Bayern Munich. Xavi Hernandez is said to be the most possessive player today.
