Famous quotes containing the words bag of, bag and/or holding:

What is this beast, she thought,
    with muscles on his arms
    like a bag of snakes?
What is this moss on his legs?
What prickly plant grows on his cheeks?
What is this voice as deep as a dog?
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

I see every thing I paint in this world, but everybody does not see alike. To the eyes of a miser a guinea is more beautiful than the sun, and a bag worn with the use of money has more beautiful proportions than a vine filled with grapes.
    William Blake (1757–1827)

Things base and vile, holding no quantity,
Love can transpose to form and dignity.
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
