Statistics
Badvel is the headquarters of the Badvel assembly segment. It is located 55 km from Kadapa, the district headquarters. The area was upgraded to municipality status following the merging of four local government areas, known as Gram Panchayats on May 15, 2006 - Badvel, Guntupalli, Chengapalli and Manthenavaripalem (in addition to twelve habitations). Based on the 2004 election census, the total number of voters in the Badvel constituency is 153,429.
