Shivalayam Temple is a famous landmark located in the hills. It became famous during the period of Sri Krishnadevarayalu and the surrounding hills have become costly residential areas. The statue is very long and penetrates into the earth. There is a secret swarangam (way) that leads into the Badvel cheruvu (15 km far awar). Brahmamgari Mattam is located 30 kilometers from Badvel. Sree Potuluri Veera Brahmamendra Swami, known as the 'Nostradamus of India' wrote Kalagnanam, which contain his prophesies.

The Sri Lankamalleswara Wildlife Sanctuary is closer to the villages of Jogireddy Gari Palli and Siddugari Palli. This forest is famous to the critically endangered Jerdon's Courser Rhinoptilus bitorquatus locally known as Kalivi kodi. This forest was declared as a sanctuary soon after the rediscovery of this bird in 1986 near Redipalli village. This bird has only been found in this wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is named after the Sri Lankamalleswaraswami temple located inside it. This temple was built by King Janamejaya and is located close to a waterfall.

Samartha Sadhguru Sri Kasinayana is a modern Indian Sadhguru. He was born in Bedusupally Village, in between Badvel Mandal and Seetharamapuram Mandal, Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh to Smt. Kasimma and Sri Subba Reddy. During childhood, he was inspired by Guru Athiracha Guruvaiah Swamy and traveled the entire stretch from Kasi to Kanyakumari.

Sri Govinda Swamy Mattam and Sri Meenakshi Narmadeswara temple exist. Palugurallapalle, B.Mattal Mandal Badwel is an historic temple from the 16th century.

Siddamma Talli Peranttallu is one of the famous Durga Matha Temples, located about 3 km from Badvel. The temple was established by The late Smt. Somesula Lakshumma followed by her son and daughter-in-law Late Sri Somesula Subba Rayudu and Smt. Somesula Nagabhushanamma.

SriVasavi Kanyakaparameshwari temple is one of the well-known temples and is located at Ammavarishala street. During the festivals, all the people from Badvel municipality converge here to celebrate. This is especially evident during DASARA festival of nine days. The Srimatkanyakaparameswari temple is near Gandhi statue near Ammavarisala street. Badvel is very famous in launching of a big idol of Vinyaka during the festival Vinayaka Chaturthi at four roads junction. The great poetess Molla was born in Gopavaram mandal and her statue was inaugurated at madakalavari palli x road. Churches are present in Nellore road Siddavatam road and Mydukuru road.

Saibaba temple at Teluguganga colony, Ammavarisala in Porumamilla road, Veerabhadraswami temple in Porumamilla road, Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple and Lord Shiva temple near Nagula Cheruvu Katta and another Shiva temple at Nellore road at Ruparam Pet, Sri Govinda Swamy mattam and Sri Meenakshi Narmadeswara temple in Palugurallapalle, B.Mattam Mandal are very old and historic temples of 16th century.

Kalasapadu is one of the famous villages in Badvel Taluka.
